If you have a little calculator by your computer to figure out measurements before plugging them into InDesign, you can throw it away. You don't need it. InDesign does the math for you.

And it converts units of measure, too. That's right, just plug in 4"-3mm and InDesign will figure out what the equivalant is for you in your current unit of measure. And that applies to any place in InDesign where a number is required...stroke weight, document size, text wrap, or anything else that needs a number.
