InDesign's Optical Kerning
Tired of manually kerning your type all time? Who isn't. Well the bad news is, you'll still have to do it some. The good news is, InDesign has a feature called Optical Kerning.

Optical Kerning looks at the shape of the letter and bases its kerning decisions on that, instead of the Matrix setting that relies on the settings of the font. Matrix is the kerning that QuarkXPress and PageMaker use. With some fonts it's not a problem, but what about when you mix fonts, or use one that doesn't kern well.

Now, thanks to Optical Kerning, InDesign will do the work for you.
