The Walled City of Dubrovnic, Croatia | by Russell Viers
Looking at this photo now I am still amazed that I took it...wow...I have to give credit to luck on this one. The old city of Dubrovnic, Croatia sits high on the rocky shores above the Adriatic Sea. This shot is taken from the old fort which sits even higher on an island mount to protect the coast. Construction on the fort began in the third century and this was an important stopping point during the Crusades. Now, it's filled with souvenier stores and ice cream shops...but still worth stopping for.
