“In the last few years. All the skills I now have are largely thanks to Russell, and his assistance. It always amazes me that whenever I email Russell asking for help, I get a reply withing 15 minutes…every time. He’s unbelievable. I could not have survived in this job without him. I have told my boss that if he wants to move to another company, then I quit, because without Russell, this job would be hell. Quite apart from the technical help, he is always an upbeat kind of guy, and sometimes, his positive mood gets me going again, when I am snowed under with yearbook stuff.”
    Jonathan Malcolm, Yearbook Adviser

Russell Viers works for Walsworth Publishing,, as their European Yearbook Representative. As part of his job there, he works closely with schools to help them work faster by maximizing the potential of the Adobe or Quark software they use to create their books.

Since Yearbook Advisers also teach many classes, coach teams, go on field trips and many other things that pull them away from yearbook production, Russell’s time-saving techniques are paramount in helping them get the job done. Not only does he offer training and support in technology, he is actively involved in the design process, as well.

Each fall, Russell offers school yearbook advisers and students from all over Europe the chance to come together and learn from the best in the business. In past years, the Fall Yearbook Conference has had Adobe Evangelists Tim Cole and Rufus Deuchler along with top designer/branding expert Brent Niemuth and yearbook expert H.L. Hall. This year’s conference has Niemuth and Hall back again, as well as Sandee Cohen and Gabriel Powell, both published authors and Adobe Certified Instructors.
