Street

Sometimes as I’m walking along, a scene jumps out as one I need to capture. I’ll grab whatever I have and hope for the best. Believe it, or not, I’m still quite shy about it. I certainly don’t want to get caught. I prefer asking permission, but often I’ll just hide my camera and snap as I walk by, then anxiously checking what I got when out of range.

Oops

This is fun. I’ve just dumped a bunch of shots that were “mistakes,” but I like them anyway. Maybe they are double exposures, or the first or last shots on a roll, but, for some reason, I like them. I’m not a hoarder. I have a lot of photos that are so bad they can’t even make it into the Oops Gallery. Enjoy.

Textures

Sometimes when I’m shooting something, I’ll zoom in, or out, and the whole subject changes. What was once a building is now just a repeating pattern of windows. What once looked like an auditorium is now just a pattern of chairs. I love finding textures as I photograph, and sometimes it’s just as simple as stepping closer to the subject before shooting.

Things

Someone once commented on one of my social media posts “You photograph the most interesting things.” I replied that I like to think I take photos of the most boring things, and try to make them look interesting. Truth is, I’m easily entertained and if I’m walking along, it doesn’t take much for me to stop and get a shot of it.

Welcome to my new site. A special "thank you" to Julia for building it for me. As I started pulling content together for it, I realized I have A LOT of photos and stories and not enough time to put it all on here. So this site, like all of them, I guess, is a work in progress and this is the first phase. If you don't see your picture on here, but think it should be, just wait. I'm sure I'll stumble across it some day and add it on.

Digiversity.tv has been around since 2001, but what you see now is a rebirth. New brand identity, new website, and new videos. In addition to the videos are blog articles and, just for fun, Julia and I do Digiversity.tv LIVE, where we get to share tricks and techniques we use on a regular basis, things we've learned, and introduce you to our friends who come on as guests to share their knowledge.
